Longer or Straighter?

In a study done where golfers were asked to hit 3 types of shots, a normal drive, a drive focused on distance, and a drive focused on finding the fairway. For most of the group when they focused on hitting a shot in the fairway, they found that they became shorter while not improving shot dispersion. While the drive that focused on distance gained distance and did not sacrifice accuracy. To summerize the study, swing hard try and get those couple extra yards and shoot lower scores!
